Frequently Asked Questions About CNC Machining for Packaging Equipment
Ordering & Quoting
What information do you need for a quote?
We need drawings (PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP, or STP format), material specifications, quantity, and required tolerances. For a faster quote, include critical dimensions and surface finish requirements. We typically respond within 24 hours.
What is your minimum order quantity?
Just 1 piece. We welcome prototype and validation runs of single units, as well as production quantities up to 100,000+ pieces per month. There is no minimum.
How quickly can you deliver?
Standard lead time is 7–15 business days depending on complexity and quantity. Rush orders can be completed in as little as 48 hours for simple parts. We ship worldwide via DHL, FedEx, or sea freight.
Do you provide DFM feedback?
Yes—every quote includes free Design for Manufacturing analysis. We often suggest modifications that reduce cost, improve quality, or accelerate production. This is a standard part of our service, not an upsell.
Materials & Quality
What materials do you work with?
We machine metals (stainless steel 304/316/17-4PH, aluminum 6061/7075/6082, brass, copper) and engineering plastics (POM/Delrin, PEEK, PTFE/Teflon, nylon, PAI, PEI, ABS, acrylic). Most grades are stocked for rapid production.
What tolerances can you hold?
Standard machining tolerance is ±0.05 mm. For critical features, we can hold ±0.01 mm. Our CMM inspection equipment verifies every critical dimension on request.
Do you provide material certifications?
Yes. Full material certification (mill test reports) is included with every order upon request. We also provide surface finish measurements, dimensional inspection reports, and First Article Inspection (FAI) reports.
Are your parts suitable for food contact?
Yes. We machine FDA-compliant grades of stainless steel (304/316) and engineering plastics (POM, PTFE, PEEK). Surface finishes can be specified as electropolished or passivated to meet food safety standards.
Shipping & Support
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship to North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. We use DHL Express for air freight (3–5 business days) and sea freight for larger volumes (15–30 days).
What file formats do you accept?
We accept STEP (.stp), IGES (.igs), DWG, DXF, SolidWorks (.sldprt), and PDF drawings. For complex assemblies, STEP format with a detailed PDF drawing is preferred.
Can you help with design if I don’t have drawings?
Absolutely. Describe your application and we can recommend standard component designs, help select materials, and provide DFM guidance to finalize a manufacturable design.
